Our refund policy is short. We don't want you to fight a forgotten subscription, and we don't want to charge you for software that didn't work. Here's how we handle refunds in plain language.
Free trial
- The 7-day free trial doesn't require a card. If you don't subscribe within the trial period, you're not charged. There's nothing to refund
Cancellation (no automatic refund)
- You can cancel anytime in Settings or via Stripe Customer Portal
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you've already paid for
- You keep full access until then. We do not refund partial months
- Why no partial refunds: it's the simplest, most predictable policy. You know what you paid for; we don't rake back fees you've already used
Real refunds (we issue them)
We issue refunds when:
- The software is broken in a way that prevented you from using it (e.g., login was down for the entire week of your subscription)
- You were charged after cancelling
- You were charged twice for the same period
- You believe you were charged in error
To request a refund, email hello@civicspath.app with your subscription email, the date of charge, and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within 1 business day. Approved refunds are issued via Stripe and typically appear within 5-10 business days.
Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please email us first. Direct chargebacks (disputes filed with your card issuer without contacting us) make refunds slower and more complicated. We will always work with you to resolve a billing question; chargebacks should be a last resort.
Subscription pricing
$19.90 USD per month, charged on the renewal date of your subscription. We notify you of any price increases at least 30 days before they take effect.
